The Swiss National Bank launched a competition for the design of a new banknote series (10, 20, 50, 100, 200 and 1000) at the beginning of 2005.
The bank invited twelve artists were invited to present their designs on the theme “Switzerland open to the world”.
The first prize was announced recently and it went for artist Krebs Manuel from Zurich.
