When I was little, Children’s Hospital was like a second home to me. I was born with a weakened immune system (among other problems), so I often got very sick. I was in the hospital almost as often as I was out of it, and came close to dying several times. Finally, when I was five, I got stem cells from Sofía for a bone marrow transplant. That solved my immune problems!
